WINNERS DOG, BEST OF
WINNERS, BEST OF BREED
My winners dog came
out of the American Bred Class. He is a striking dark sable with
a lovely dark eye who gives a whole new meaning to the words “stallion
like”. A large, heavy boned young male with an iron back and extreme
rear. He was good coming & going, in spite of the extreme angulation,
showing that cleanness is a matter more of tight ligaments, rather than
angulation. He demonstrated a nice period of suspension at a slow gait
and an adequate front when moving fast.
WINNERS BITCH, BEST
PUPPY & BEST OPPOSITE
On the bitches side, this lovely 6-9 puppy girl certainly grabbed my eye in the puppy class. When it came to winners, she put on quiet a show and was not to be denied. She was high withered, with a strong back and good angulation both front and rear, yet clean coming & going. The period of suspension she demonstration in the winners class along with her zest for life in general made me want to just keep her going on & on for the sheer joy of watching her. I seriously considered her for Best of Breed, but the maturity of the male won the purple & gold for him. Both were lovely animals and they both received their first points this day. Thank you to both the
Central New Mexico GSDC and the Amarillo GSDC for two lovely shows and
all the hard work that went in to making them successful. I
totally enjoyed the day and the lovely animals that all brought to me.
